3 Reasons To Lose Weight This Winter

So we all know that winter can be a real challenge in the weight department and most of us come out of winter with a little winter bulge that can really put a dent in our bikini aspirations for the summer. The truth is that winter can be a great time to start losing weight and you will find that many of the excuses you use in summer is simply not an issue during winter. Although its true that we are less active in winter, its usually just because its a habit.

As you probably know by now, the real challenge with weight loss is not knowing "what" to do, but rather doing what you already know. It becomes a matter of motivation and having enough and good enough reasons for losing weight is a great starting point and a good bit of fuel to the fire. With that in mind, here are 3 great reasons to lose weight this winter.

1. A compelling goal

Whether its your goal to fit into your bikini this summer or just to get back into a pair of shorts, having a goal to reach for summer can be a great source of motivation. With 6 months of winter there really is enough time to do some serious damage to that extra belly fat.

2. Prevent the winter bulge

While most people will gain weight this winter, your weight loss plan will counteract that. Chances are that you've probably been one of "them" and that you've been gaining weight every holiday season. This does not mean that you cannot enjoy it, it just means that you will have a very different approach.

3. Less distraction

In summer there are just so many distractions that can keep you from your weight loss goals. Parties and being outside all the time can really keep us from sticking to a weight loss plan. In winter, there are a lot less distractions and keeping to a rigid weight loss plan is much easier in winter.
