Building Better Brains From Childhood

By Linda Ruiz

The brain starts to develop while in the womb and continues to grow strong connections in response to the environment upon birth. It is necessary for parents to provide young ones with the correct types of resources that will aid in building better brains in support of their preschool years and in forming the strongest possible foundation. There are many measures that should be implemented to ensure social, emotional, and physical growth is enhanced.

When children are provided the necessary resources and educational experiences from a young age, they are better able to develop their brain function. The foundation for the brain serves as the basis from which all future requirements will be determined including academic performance, health, and social relationships. A failure to provide structured stimulation and supervision can result in a myriad of problems later on that takes a significant amount time and patience to support or correct.

Do not wait until the school years to prepare your child for their academics. Many young ones are able to recite the alphabet and read simple words before they enter into kindergarten because caregivers took the time and patience to invest in introducing visual and auditory resources at the earliest stages. The relevant vocabulary, skills, and knowledge can be developed at the youngest ages.

While genetics does play a role in the development of children, it is important to understand the fact that environmental stimuli will also have a profound effect on shaping their lives. Scientific studies have shown that the environment of a child can have a great impact on the manner in which personality is shaped and the factors that they are exposed to on a regular basis. Research requires that the right types of resources are delivered for future growth.

All parents are advised on the different measures to take and to introduce children to age appropriate and exciting stimuli. This means that infants should be educated and offered the necessary resources for optimum stimulation in visual, audio, and social measures. Emphasis is placed on developing the right types of words for optimum language and presentation of pictures and labels.

The preschool years presents a time where children are encouraged to engage in different measures with the appropriate levels of support for maximum brain development. This means that the most suitable skill sets need to be implemented including physical growth. The focus is on improving various aspects of individual capabilities that includes a strong foundation for academic success.

All children should be offered interesting activities that involve exercise techniques for enhancing blood circulation to the brain and to enhance neuron connections. It serves as a healthy alternative that improves natural hormone production for emotional wellness. It is necessary for individuals to consider a healthy and balanced diet that will include Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids in brain development.

When it comes to building optimum brain development it includes strong resources for stimulation at the youngest age. Incorporate a healthy lifestyle allowing young ones to develop the ability to deal with everyday stress and strain. Such measures can go a long way to facilitate the healthiest possible function in preparation for preschool and future requirements.
