Concept2 Indoor Rower Review

By Betsy Oakson

I was never really enthralled about the sport of indoor rowing until I got on a Concept2 Indoor Rower. Like mast other forms of aerobic workout gear you see at a health club, I assumed an indoor rower would be uninteresting and not provide any muscle-building benefits.

I was wrong

What I realized was that indoor rowers provide many different workouts. They keep individuals from getting bored, meaning they are most likely to keep to their exercise regimen. Whether you are attempting to drop weight or build muscle or both, you will get results much faster when you workout regularly.

They are also very convenient. I did not realize how light-weight and easy one of these devices was to relocate until I picked it up and moved it across the room. I was able to do it nearly effortlessly with one hand. I was actually surprised. This aspect alone made me think it would be the optimal piece of home exercise equipment. I could quickly move it from room to room and then keep it out of view when it was not being used.

I likewise had no issues listening to music or viewing a good tv show while exercising. I confess, sometimes I would like a diversion or an escape while I am exercising. With a loud piece of workout equipment, you can't hear music or watch a movie. Occasionally this means that I will not workout at all.

When I used to run frequently, I would complete an exercise then need to add a strength-building routine for my arms. With the Concept 2 Rowing Machine, I do not have to do that. All major muscle areas get a strenuous workout on the machine, and in less time.

This gives me more time to do other things that I enjoy. It also gives me even more motivation to workout on a rower, since I realize that it will get me more results faster than other alternative workout routines.

As you have probably noticed, I am a big fan of this rowing machine, but there is another thing I wish to discuss. I like exercising outside. Generally I don't prefer indoor exercise classes or gyms. Nevertheless, due to the fact that the C2 is so lightweight and convenient to carry around, I simply roll it outside and enjoy exercising in the sunshine. If this is a concern that you are thinking about, you do not need to be.

If you're thinking about investing in home workout equipment, like an indoor rower, try one out first. Lots of gyms have them, or your neighborhood workout equipment shop might let you test drive one. Then, you can shop online to find the lowest priced offer on the machine you want.
